St. Louis Art Fair
Posted by jbholston at 01:45 PM

I posted last year about this fabulous event.

We had another great weekend at the Fair this year.

We do this to cherish my sister-in-law's memory; Sally Murdaugh was one of the Fair's founders. It's since become a major civic event for Clayton, and one of the best-regarded fairs in the U.S. Anne and the kids have given out the Sally Murdaugh Memorial Award the last two years to the artist whom the Art Fair staff feel best exemplifies Sally's irrepressible spirit (sorry about small pix; note to Art Fair, publish bigger versions!);

2005: Mary Robinson

We've had the chance to get to know many artists' and their work through the fair, too. My kids love this part of the weekend the best -- exploring the remarkable art, finding treasures, talking to people who make beautiful and wondrous things...

There are always too many stand-outs to mention, but both years we've all fallen in love with the work of Ann Wood and Dean Lucker from St. Paul, Minnesota. Check out their marvelous work;

And swing by NewsGator any time after early October to drop a donation to their Fortune Teller and discover the future ....

All hail the blook!

Tom Evslin is serializing his Internet bubble-era thriller, hackoff.com , by blog...

...ergo blook!

Self-publishing is a mini-enterprise formed around a single project like the production company for a play. This being the days of web 2.0, the enterprise is, of course, virtual and the members of the team are scattered around the country and rarely see or even speak to each other. Much more about the people on this very talented team is here.

Go. Read. Now.

(Brad Feld has helped supercharge the project. As he does so many projects...)

What print media?!?
