My observations of the moment are :

1. CNN is as responsible for the phenomenal international money flood to help victims(and getting Bush off his butt), as Rush was for Bush' electoral win. The UN has said that as much has been raised to help for this already as was raised for all disasters in 2004!

Major media can matter, when their relentless.

2. The pace and magnitude of that response are fabulous. And should continue. Our company, NewsGator, just decided that we will donate 3% of our revenues the next 90 days to disaster relief efforts. Food and water may be arriving, but destroyed lives will need to be rebuilt.
