Since I last posted.
Way too busy.
I could talk about all the wondrous things happening at NewsGator, or brag about my swimming phenom son's accomplishments, the combination of which have me all over at all hours... but, alas, I won't.
Instead I'll link to ColoradoLuis' nice post on why bipartisan blogs suck ...
And ProgressNow's role in outing Dobson's latest Nazi hate trick... as well as their wonderful podcast interview with Jean Dubofsky
Here's Rove's strategy for Iraq:
"If you look at it from a Republican point of view, by the 2006 congressional elections, you're going to want to have a timetable in place for withdrawal of U.S. forces and their replacement by Iraqis. And by the fall of 2008, you will want to have most U.S. forces out of there," Cimbala said.

President Bush, though, doesn't see it this way at all. When asked about Palmeiro's positive steroid test, Bush — who knew Palmeiro when the president owned the Rangers — replied, "Rafael Palmeiro is a friend. He testified in public and I believe him. He's the kind of person that's going to stand up in front of the Klieg lights and say he didn't use steroids, and I believe him."
This statement perfectly crystallizes Bush's thinking. Facts don't matter to him. What matters is how he feels about the person in question.
All adds up, no? Promote creationism rather than science; send Cheney to a Saudi royal funeral but not to those of American GI's; defend Rove regardless; believe Daddy's neocon pals vs. the CIA...
As a manager, looks like more to me than just intuition vs. reason. Bush 'made it' on the backs of those who protected him, and doesn't have the bandwidth or self-confidence to do more than remain propped up by that network of cronies and thin thoughts that cocooned him along his incompetent way...
