Looks like the military is simply punting in Iraq.
After pulling out abruptly from Fallujah, we've now apparently released about half of the prisoners from Abu Ghraib.
Right -- we just figured out they didn't need to be interred.

Around Baghdad, there was speculation Sunday that armed fighters returning from Najaf and nearby Kufa could spark a surge in violence here in the capital.
The Iraqi Prime Minister;
"What happened in Fallujah and other places will not be repeated."
The Army Brigadier General in charge of operations in Najaf;
"Softer stance? We took a hard line with these guys and killed over a thousand."
