Northeast Denver is hot and angry, and the state, after days of 100 plus degree heat, is (to quote the Gov) burning up once again. We still have an insufficient number of air tankers in good repair available, and no formal plan for allocating those and other resources on a coordinated and timely basis.

Where's Governor Owens on all this?

He's too busy fanning the flames of racial inequality, bashing Affirmative Action at Grover Norquist and Karl Rove's request in order to raise hard right money for future campaigns.

Much more fun puppet pandering than being a leader, helping real people at home today. Why, that would require .... governing!
